- 1 Induction Cooktop
- 1 Kadhai
Ingredients
- 200 g Paneer
- ½-1 tsp Carom seeds or Ajwain
- ½ cup Gram flour or Besan
- 2 tbsp Rice flour
- 1 pinch Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder
- 1 pinch Baking Soda
- Red Chili Sauce
- Green Chili Sauce
- Salt to taste
- Water
- Vegetable Oil
Instructions
Prepare the paneer
- First, start by cutting the paneer into cubes. Cut them into 1-inch cubes or according to the desired choice.
- Pat the cubes dry and cut all of them from the middle.
Add the sause
- Now, take the red chili sauce and the green chili sauce and mix both of them together.
- Take a paneer slice and spread the sauce mix on it. Place another slice of the paneer on top of it like a sandwich.
- Do this with all the paneer cubes and keep them aside.
Prepare the batter
- Next, take a mixing bowl and add the besan or gram flour, rice flour, salt to taste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, carom seeds, and baking soda.
- Mix all the dry ingredients.
- Next, add a little amount of water and whisk all of the ingredients together. Add water as needed. The batter should have a thick and flowy consistency.
- Take a taste test. Add salt if needed.
Fry the paneer pakoras
- Now, take a deep-frying pan or a kadhai and add vegetable oil.
- Let the oil heat until it smokes a little.
- Dip a paneer cube into the batter and coat it from all the sides. Swipe off the excess.
- Gently lower it into the hot oil. Keep the flame on medium.
- You can fry four to five paneer cubes together. Do not overcrowd the oil.
- Fry them until golden brown from all the sides.
- Do this in batches and when done, transfer them onto a kitchen tissue-covered plate.
Garnish
- Garnish the Paneer pakora by sprinkling Chaat Masala.
